We have been very fortunate at Trinity to receive support from a number of businesses based in our community. Most recently two companies, Glaxo SmithKline and SAP have donated time and teams to us in order to take part in "action days".
The Commercial I.T. department of GSK spent a spring day with us involved in three different and equally challenging projects. Firstly they refurbished parts of our Uxbridge Furniture Store by painting a whole wall, assembling retail shelving and painting a new cash desk. A second team spent the day stripping and repainting ten garages at our Yeading Store - these storage rooms were in bad need of repair, and it was a heavy workload! Finally, a third team were out in force in Uxbridge High Street, approaching the public and promoting the shop and the forthcoming Summer Fete, based in a mini "living room".
The work that they undertook directly affects our work woith our residents. Firslty the time and resource we would have needed on these jobs can be used effectively in areas of housing training and employment with ourt residents. Secondly, the awareness raised through their work will increase the amount of support we receive across the board. We are very grateful for all of their work.

Meanwhile,SAP have recently given us a day and a team of 23 people in order to bring order and structure to our warehouse in Uxbridge. We have unfortunatley been on the receiving end of two break-in's at our warehouse, resulting in a number of items stolen and a significant amount of mess created. Our warehouse has a number of functions. It is a storeage area for large amounts of both office and vintage furniture, and it is also the workshop space for our Shabby Chic initiative. SAP came for a day and under the guiding hand of Mark Smith, our furniture restorer, worked incredibly hard to bring the warehouse up to a standard that means we can begin to use it as a viewing area/retail outlet for our specialist furniture offers. The speed and dedication to the task that the SAP guys demonstrated was remarkable, especially considering the job that confronted them before they started. Once again, we are thankful for and humbled by the fact that there are people who are happy to give up time to help us achieve our aims and objectives with Trinity. SAP, we thank you.
